The Bills just didn't make much sense. They had major needs on the offensive and defensive lines, but took Donte Whitner waay too early, passing on Brodrick Bunkley and Haloti Ngata. McCargo was chosen a round too early as well. While they got some quality players to stregnthen their secondary, they may have reached too much on many of their picks.
2006 Fantasy Impact: None: They took a few late round offensive lineman, but don't plan on them changing the face of the Bills offense in 2006.

Overall Draft Grade:

B-

The Allen pick was a little high in our estimation and we are a little leary of Derek Hagan and all of his drops. The Dolphins did come back strong in the second day, picking up some help on the offenseive and defensive line though. Rod Wright was great value in the 7th round.
Fantasy Impact: Minimal: Hagan may see some limited playing time in 2006, but not enough to be drafted. His inconsistent hands may keep him from being a legitamate fantasy threat.

Overall Draft Grade:

Maroney and Jackson were both great value picks at the positions they were selected at and should make an impact in their rookies seasons. The Thomas pick made us scratch our heads since the Pats already have a couple of high round TEs on the roster. O'Callaghan was great value in the 5th and could wind up taking Tom Ashworth's spot in the lineup when it's all said and done.
2006 Fantasy Impact: Significant:Maroney has a chance to make an impact his rookie season if Corey Dillon continues to break down. Jackson will also be thrown into the fire and get playing time, but he WILL be a Pats receiver, so don't expect huge numbers, especially in his rookies season.

5 18(150) Jason Pociask TE WISCONSIN
6 20(189) Drew Coleman CB TCU
7 12(220) Titus Adams DT NEBRASKA

Overall Draft Grade:

A

The Jets did a great job at addressing their needs and getting impact players. Ferguson should be a fixture at LT for years to come as well as Mangold at C. They arguably got the two best lineman in the draft. Many had Clemons rated very high, but we're just a bit leary of Oregon QBs (Akili Smith, Joey Harrington). Schlegal could have probably been take a round later, but he is a great competitor and will rack up tackles. Brad Smith will be an interesting project with many possiblities. Washington will give them more depth at the RB position as the Jets prepared for the eventual departure of Curtis Martin.

2006 Fantasy Impact: Minimal: Both Ferguson and Mangold should help solidify the O-line, but don't expect it immediately. Clemens shouldn't see playing time this season unless disaster strikes the Jets again. Brad Smith has some interesting potential, but not good enough to draft in any league.
