6 39(208) Derrick Martin CB WYOMING
7 11(219) Ryan Lacasse DE SYRACUSE

Overall Draft Grade:

B

The Ravens moved up one spot in the first round to get the run-stuffer they needed in Ngata and only had to give up a 6th round pick. Chester is a good OL prospect but we're surprised they didn't pick up another lineman elsewhere in the draft. Williams was a nice value pick in the 4th and may be able to develop into a quality receiver down the road. They may have waited too long to nab a safety to replace Will Demps.
Fantasy Impact: Minimal: Chester may help the OL in the long run but we doubt you'll see an immediate impact. Williams could develop into a nice receiver but he won't get much playing time in 2006 to be a fantasy factor.

7 1(209) Ethan Kilmer WR PENN STATE

Overall Draft Grade:

C

We don't think the Bengals did enough to stregnthen their run defense. Joseph was a nice pickup for their secondary, but the should have continued to fortify their run defense, not stopping with the addition of Sam Adams in free agency. Whitworth was a great pickup in the second round that will pay off down the road.
Fantasy Impact: Minimal: Whitworth will start on the O-line one day, but he may just be a backup this season.

6 11(180) Lawrence Vickers FB COLORADO
6 12(181) Babatunde Oshinowo DT STANFORD
7 14(222) Justin Hamilton S VIRGINIA TECH

Overall Draft Grade:

B+

We're suprised the Browns passed on Ngata. Big, run-clogging lineman are hard to come by and Ted Washington isn't exactly in his prime. That being said, Wimbley should make an impact in 06' as a pass rusher and Jackson should see playing time as the season goes on. Wilson could be a guy to keep an eye on, as he could develop into a quality No. 2 receiver. Minter and Oshinowo were great value picks near the end of the draft and Jerome Harrison could make an impact as a third down back.
2006 Fantasy Impact: Minimal: Romeo Crennell likes to take his time with his rookies, so don't expect Wilson to make a significant contribution until next season even if Braylon Edwards is slow to come back from ACL surgery.

Pittsburgh Steelers (Top)

Round, Name, Pos, School
1 25(25) Santonio Holmes WR OHIO STATE
3 19(83) Anthony Smith S SYRACUSE
3 31(95) Willie Reid RS FLORIDA STATE
4 34(131) Willie Colon OT HOFSTRA
4 36(133) Orien Harris DT MIAMI (FLA.)
5 32(164) Omar Jacobs QB BOWLING GREEN
5 35(167) Charles Davis TE PURDUE
6 32(201) Marvin Philip OC CALIFORNIA
7 32(240) Cedric Humes RB VIRGINIA TECH

Overall Draft Grade:

B-

The Steelers may have given up a lot to move up and get Holmes, but he is a great addition to their receiving corps. Smith looks like the eventual replacement to Chris Hope. Orien Harris was great value in the 4th round and could develop into a decent end in the 3-4 defense. Cedric Humes has had some injuries, but he is a bigger back that could see some goal line carries.
Fantasy Impact: Significant: Holmes was the most pro-ready WR in the draft and should make a contribution in his rookie season. Humes could see some goal line carries if he makes the team.
