5(37) Jimmy Williams CB VIRGINIA TECH
3 15(79) Jerious Norwood RB MISSISSIPPI STATE
5 6(139) Quinn Ojennaka OG SYRACUSE
6 15(184) Adam Jennings WR FRESNO STATE
7 15(223) D.J. Shockley QB GEORGIA
Overall
Draft Grade:
B+
If
you factor in the John Abraham trade then this draft
was very solid. Taking Jimmy Williams at 37 is thievery.
Don't be surprised if D.J Shockley is able to make
this team as a backup quarterback.
Fantasy
Impact:
Minimal:
The player to keep an eye on is Jerious Norwood.
If he can add a few pounds onto his frame he could
be a sleeper and he could take over for Warrick Dunn
in a couple of years.

Draft Grade:

Drafting
Williams is perfect for the Panthers. We have him
listed as the 2nd best RB in the draft. Nate Salley
could be a diamond late in the fourth and Richard
Marshall offsets the loss of Ricky Manning Jr.
Fantasy
Impact:
Moderate:
Williams if the only offensive skill player drafted
and it will be interesting to see how he splits time
with D. Foster. Williams will start as the backup
but with Foster's injury problems, expect Williams
to be the starter in 2007.

The
reason for the high grade is solely because of Reggie
Bush. Anytime you can get the best player in the draft
then you should be happy. Roman Harper was a reach,
but we like the trade for C Jeff Faine.

Draft Grade:

Offensive line was the
focus of the first day. Joseph is a solid pick but
Trueblood was a little high. Gradkowski is an interesting
insurance policy for Chris Simms.
Fantasy
Impact:
Minimal:
Don't expect much on opening day but there is
some hidden fantasy value with this group. The two
Olinemen should help Cadillac. Keep an eye on Stovall.
He had a great senior season and if he can build on
that success, the Buccaneers could have a real find.
